The journey from Nursery to Year 8 is seamless for boys as they transition through the School, building on their previous experiences and excited about the opportunities ahead as they enter a new stage of the Parkside journey.

With the same ethos and aims for the 2 year olds as for the 13 year olds, everyone feels a valued part of the Parkside family. Nursery children are taught by specialist staff in sport, swimming, music, forest school and French and they have lunch with the Pre Prep boys; enabling them to get to know the Pre Prep staff before the transition to Reception.

After School clubs start for the Pre Prep boys and they have lessons with additional specialist staff in IT, French, art and drama.

By the end of Year 2, boys have spent time in their Year 3 classrooms so they are familiar with life in the Prep School and they are introduced to a buddy from Year 7 who will support them in the Prep School and ease the transition. 

The journey through the Prep School enables boys to leave in Year 8 as confident, well rounded, self-assured individuals. The Parkside journey is unique for all boys and the memories, friendship, experiences, and academic success helps boys to move onto senior school ready to face the challenges with confidence. They leave knowing who they are, with strong values and a passion for learning.
